PROJECT EXPO CARPE DIEM ’23

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in association with SLMIC had successfully organized CARPE DIEM ’23, Project Expo on 5TH May 2023.

The inaugural session of the project began with lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries followed by the invocation song by the student Jai Bhavani and Team. The dignitaries, Chief Guest Dr. Subhashini, Founder Chairman, Rare Minds, Bengaluru, Guest of Honour Mr. D L V Sharma, Co Founder, Rare Minds, Bengaluru, Dr. B. Shadaksharappa, Principal, SSCE, Anekal, Dr. R. Arun Kumar, Management Representative, SSCE, Anekal program coordinator Prof. Malini KV, Head, EEE.alongwith HODS of all departments and jury members.

The Presidential Address was rendered by Dr. B. Shadaksharappa, Principal. He explained about importance of developing innovative ideas, products and prototypes, the facilities available in the institution for the same.

Dr. Subhashini delivered the inaugural address. She explained the difference between
incremental innovation and disruption.

Mr. D L V Sharma delivered special address in which he insisted on the necessity of innovation in student’s project and explained how those innovative ideas help the society, once they turned into the reality.

The evaluators invited for the Project Expo are Mr. Ajith, Software Engineer, Oracle Cerner Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Jaswanth Vishal, System Engineer, Infrastructure Specialist, Merck Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Monissh Babu K, Managing Director, Shakti Enterprises & Cratus Engineering, Bengaluru, Mr.R Jagannath Rao Shandilya, Technical Architect, Continental Autonomous Mobility Pvt. Ltd.,. Bengaluru. The evaluators have evaluated the projects exhibited and gave some inputs on the improvement of these projects.

Sixty Five final year student projects have been exhibited from Dept. of CSE, ECE,EEE & Mechanical Engg. The evaluators,critically evaluated the projects based on the parameters of innovation, prototype, social relevance and market orientation. The following projects have been selected as best projects in respective disciplines.
