Emerging technologies play a vital role in the modernization of industries. New technologies help in transforming enterprises into a digital world. Many innovation teams struggle to bridge the gap between challenges and solutions. Staying on top of the new/ emerging technologies is very essential for driving innovation, accomplishing business goals, and remaining competitive.
So to create awareness about the recent technologies with their business impacts in the modern world, the Higher education Cell of the institution organized this program on 3rd May 2023 from 11.00AM to 1.00PM in the AV Hall. The Higher Education cell coordinator Prof. Raghavendra Rao B welcomed the gathering.
Dr. Jayakumar. S, Assistant Professor from Electronics and Communication Engineering department delivered the welcome address.
The Principal of the institution, Dr. B. Shadaksharappa delivered the Presidential address and Prof. Yogananda B. S from the department of Mechanical Engineering introduced the speakers to the gathering.
Prof. Anant Pophali is an Associate Professor of Management at Dayananda Sagar University. He is a senior level executive with 30+ years of experience in global IT services industry in various leadership roles. He possess extensive experience of setting up sizable IT services units in India, transition of services and stabilizing operations to steady state. He was with AIG Inc., as “Head & Director of AIG Data Services, India” and Global Head of IT Professional Services Governance”.
Prof. Mohan Srinivasan worked at IBM India as Practice Area Leader – Digital and Offering Manager – Cloud Modernization. He is Post graduate in Industrial Engineering and is PMP® and IBM certified Senior Project Manager. He has more than 30 years IT experience with Retail and Banking customers. He teaches courses on Operations Management, Quality Management, Project Management and Systems Management.
Prof. Chinmoy Kumar is presently engaged as an Associate Professor in the area of IT & Systems Management. He holds a Ph.D. and carries with him over 20 years of experience in academic research and teaching. Prof. Kumar has published more than two dozen business case studies and papers, along with a book on E-governance. He has spoken actively at various forums and has also conducted several workshops for students and working executives.
His research and teaching interests revolve around emerging technologies, business models, e-business competitiveness and e governance for development.
About 150 students of FINAL year and THIRD year from all the streams have attended the session.
