The Google for Developers Edu Program -Educators Conclave Karnataka was organized on 18/07/2023 at Google RMZ Infinity from 9AM-5PM in association with Mind Matrix Solutions
The Program was well invited by HEIs, VTU and other corporates alongwith Google who signed an MOU with Mind Matrix Solutions by the hands of Mr. Swamy Krishnan, Prof. Sowmyanarayanan Sadagopan and Mr. Karthik for the development of programs on curriculum side for the benefit of students and faculty.
This program provided a platform to meet and interact with leading educators and administrators who are committed to take advantage of the latest advancements in Android and AI related Technologies. The objective was to discuss strategies for transforming the learning experience of students with a view of ensuring they are self-reliant and ready to add value to enterprises or the ecosystem of entrepreneurs. Faculty who are committed to train and develop students in Android and AI related technologies would benefit by receiving Google Educator Certificates thereby enhancing both their credentials and building their institutes equity.
The Google for Developers Edu program’s mission was discussed and the intentions to provide universities, skilling organisations and educators with learning resources, skilling and ecosystem support to train the next generation of developers & bring the latest Google tech like Android, AI/ Machine Learning, etc into their classrooms.
In the Welcome Speech, Mr. Sujit Kumar mentioned due to the increased demand for skilled developers in India, there is a greater need for educators to train the next generation of developers.
In the Keynote Address, Mr. Karthik Padmanabhan mentioned about the collaborative approach to make the learning more effective and the usage of the new technologies for the advanced learning in the technology and faster skilling to explore the best opportunities in the global market.
In the Chief Guest address Prof. Sowmyanarayanan Sadagopan expressed that the educators can create wonders and they can be adaptable to work in any areas if they have open mind to accept the challenges. He wished that the educators will conclusively use the tools and virtual media for the development of learning levels which is provided by various programs from Google ..
Post Lunch, Garima Mehra and Vishal Das introduced “Google for Developers: Edu Program” which is a open source platform for students and educators and explained the features of the program. Mentioned about GDSC-Google student community groups, Cohort, and the various events , opening of GDSC chapter- memberships, e-cell-entrepreneurship cell-discord community, connection to start ups and to make it happen in the coming days.
Mr. Swami Krishnan and Archana Shekhar conveyed the importance of credit programs , with the association of VTU the minor degree program credit hours , BE Hons. Program consideration of these courses and transfer of credits …he mentioned about the Golden Triangle KNOWLEDGE-DO-TEACH for the brain power augmentation .He mentioned about the NAMMA MAKE PROGRAM-in assocition with VTU and he requested the college authorities for the convenient time to demonstrate it infront of students.
Mr. Mohan Rao (Samsung CTO) spoke about Android and AI – Trends and Opportunities and mentioned about the smart systems , Samsung products platforms like Tyson and Coordination with the smart systems they are building , android development with Kotlin , infotainment, photograic effects and bouquets effects for instagram users etc….and new dimension of technical era with ethe fast growing generative AI.The program concluded with the feedback and the networking as takeaways of the program.
