The Industry Consultant Project – Groundnut Thresher was ordered by Mr. Karthi of Nandana Gardens – Kalpakam Tamilnadu, carried out by our 2nd year Mechanical students along with Non-teaching staff of Mechanical Department, designed and fabricated in our college campus, successfully delivered the project to the customer through the transport.

Our Sri Leo Muthu Innovation Centre’s E-bike project team participated and showcased their product in KARNATAKA STUDENT INNOVATOR AWARD 2017 Organized by ICT Academy at Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, Bangalore on 21.03.2018.

Out of these 150 teams 10 teams shortlisted for the final presentation and our team secured overall winner with Rs.15000/- cash prize. It was awesome days for the students and faculty of Sri Sairam College of Engineering.

About Asia E-bike challenge Results :

  1. It is a National event which brought the engineering competitive spirit to the core.
  2. 17 teams were selected for ‎innovation‬, efficiency, and endurance of the vehicle.
  3. We were the only team which participated in the Asia ebike challenge from Karnataka.
  4. Our team RAIDERS won Autocross Runners Up, Slow Motion Runners Up, Best Safety Vehicle and Surprize Award titles with Rs.25000 cash Prize.
  5. The process underwent evaluation of capabilities of the vehicle and the knowledge of the team members.
  6. Participating in this event helped the students to not only develop their technical knowledge but also build managerial skills.
  7. Sri Sairam college of Engineering’s Team Raiders comprised of 25 Engineering students from (Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering) under the captainship of Mr. Monissh Babu, Mr. Mallikarjun Reddy.

The Sri Sairam College of Engineering has been shortlisted for BMW SKILLNEXT technical skilling initiative. As part of the initiative, a state-of-the-art BMW engine and transmission unit was donated by BMW at no cost to our institute for learning purposes. With positive support from Management Representative Dr. R. Arunkumar, Principal Dr. Y. Vijayakumar, Dr. Sivasakthi Balan Chief coordinator SLMIC and all HODs were supported for the remarkable achievement.

To keeping the ‘Start-up Movement’ going, Government of Gujarat is hosting a three-day event full of experiential learning and networking for start-ups and aspiring entrepreneurs. This event is organized as a forerunner to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in January 2019. Designed as a platform for innovators and entrepreneurs from across the world to meet and interact, the event will include a notable line of expert speakers addressing on a range of challenges and doubts related to entrepreneurship. What’s more, this year the focus is on technology as a catalyst to entrepreneurship. The rapid advancement of technology along with policies such as the ‘smart cities’ initiative has paved way for the young generation to innovate and take charge leading to a start-up revolution. Apart from this, in order to take a step forward in the process of incentivizing upcoming start-ups, a selected few start-ups will get the chance to pitch their business plan to the investors present at the event. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat inaugurated the summit in the presence of other dignitaries from the Government, Business Leaders, Economists, Academicians, Policymakers and Industry Stalwarts.

Sri Sairam college of Engineering formerly Shridi Sai Engineering College “Team Superschnell” comprises of 19 Engineering students from Sri Leo Muthu Innovation centre participated in National Level BAJA 2017-2018 from 24th January to 28th January 2018 in Pithampur under the captainship of Mr. Vageesh and Mr. Purandar Raj.

Sri Leo Muthu Innovation Centre’s borewell child rescue robot, Autonomousunderwater vehicle and Firefighting drone projects team had participated and showcasedtheir product in KARNATAKA STUDENT INNOVATOR AWARD 2018 Organized by ICTAcademy at Alliance University, Anekal, Bangalore from 22.03.2018 to 23.03.2018.

Totally 41 teams selected for semi-final, out of this 10 teams shortlistedfor the final presentation and our team who had Developed the Borewell Rescue Robot has secured the overall winner with Rs.15000/- cash prize. It was awesome days for the students and faculty of Sri Sairam College of Engineering.

Our Sri Leo Muthu Innovation Centre’s Borewell Rescue Robot project team participated and showcased their product in Anveshana 2018 – Organized by Agastya International Foundation at Shikshak Sadan Bannappa Park, Bangalore from 26.02.2018 to 28.02.2018. Various technical peoples from Tech Mahindra, DRDO, Synopsis, Agastya foundation members, Entrepreneurs, Innovators, various college and school students, parents, kids etc. visited our stall and gave suggestion for improvements by their expertise. Parents and kids enjoyed while seeing our project.

In first round out of 350 team 75 teams were shortlisted. In the second round they shortlisted 45 teams in that we are one among them. Out of this 45 teams our team secured overall second position with Rs.25000/- cash prize. It was awesome days for the students and faculty of Sri Sairam College of Engineering
