I7C conference 2019 conducted on 28 and 29 November

8th International Conference i7C – 2019 on “Chip, Circuitry, Current, Coding, Combustion and Composites” held at Sri Sairam College of Engineering (accredited by NAAC), Anekal, Bengaluru on 28th & 29th November 2019, provides international forum to leading academicians, engineers, researchers, industry practitioners, scholars pan world to exchange ideas, share their experiences and research outcomes on all aspects of engineering fields. This conference aimed to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development (Goal-17 of Sustainable Development Goals).
The inaugural session started with lighting the lamp by chief guest, Dr. Srinivasan, Directorate of Research, SRM University, Chennai, Guest of honour Mr. Dhananjaya Singh, Vice President, Engineering Division, e-Government Foundation, Dr. B. Shadaksharappa, Principal, Dr. R. Arun Kumar, Management Representative, IFERP officials, Dr. G. Manjula, Head of the Department (CSE) and Prof. Malini K.V., Head of the Department (EEE), followed by the invocation song by the CSE students Sharada and team.
On this promising occasion, Dr. R. Arun Kumar, Management Representative welcomed the chief guest, IFERP officials, session judges, the dignitaries, special invitees, head of the departments, participants, staff and students. He mentioned that the chairman of Sairam group of institutions Sri Saiprakash Leo Muthu has taken personal interest in solving the social problems through Sustainable Development Goals.

The College management felicitated the chief guest Dr. Srinivasan, guest of honour, Mr. Dhananjay Singh and IFERP officials. The IFERP officials felicitated Principal, Vice principal, Management Representative, Mr. Patel, PRO, Dr. G. Manjula, HOD-CSE and Prof. Malini K.V., HOD- EEE.

The presidential address was rendered by Dr. B. Shadaksharappa, Principal where he addressed the faculty and student community to upgrade their knowledge continuously to match the present technology. Sairam is looking not only for quality education- academic excellence, but also innovation projects and research work from the students and staff. He also quoted about how the latest technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Cloud Computing play their vital role in the placement of students in reputed companies. He advised the participants to take the valuable inputs from the delegates and implement them in product conversion. Sri Sairam College of engineering has continued to pursue the three I’s- Innovation; Internationalization and Interdisciplinary research, which in recent years have become common concern of prestigious colleges around the world and Sairam is in the process of growing into a world-class research place and now is boldly innovating its system to become a global leader of higher education and R&D.

The proceedings of the conference were released by chief guest Dr. Srinivasan and delivered the inaugural address. He stated that the comfortable interdisciplinary working space make the students to publish more number of papers using their innovative ideas. He advised the students to make use of all the facilities given by the institution in their research work.
Guest of honour Mr. Dhananjay Singh, in his address stressed that the gap between the engineering institutions and the industries should be filled by the students by developing softwares on multiple platforms and called the students to help the society through their innovation.

Over whelming response was noted from the participants from all corners of Karnataka and India. Around 120 papers are received. Out of which 89 papers were scrutinized by the expert committee and reviewers. Finally 42 papers are presented before the session chairs on both the days.

Keynote session by Sri Sai Satish Babu N., Data Scientist, Solution Architect, British Telecom, Bangalore was arranged after inaugural function. He quoted that emerging technologies like Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intellligence, Machine Learning (ML), Augmented Reality (AR) and automations going to play vital role in major transformations across the industries.

2.Best Paper – Performance comparison of conventional neural networks and deep learning network for cervical cancer diagnosis by Chandraprabha, BMSIT, Bangalore

Prof. Malini K.V.- HOD (EEE) proposed the vote of thanks. Program ended with national anthem.
