CEO Message

The Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDG)are a collection of 17 Global Goals that were adopted by all United Nations member states in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. India is home to one-sixth of the planet’s humanity, which makes us a key player in ensuring the prosperity and sustainability of the planet and its people. Being such a huge country with an average age of less than 30 years, a majority of Indian population is very young. At Sairam Institutions ,we realize that as an educational institution we can make a positive impact by providing thousands of students the knowledge, motivation and understanding about the relevance and importance of the SDGs. Sairam Schools and college are committed in making a positive contribution to the society and world at large, through the efforts of our staff and students. We are proud to announce that Sairam Institutions has adopted the SDGs demonstrating our commitment to these goals. All student projects of schools and colleges will be mandated with SDG alongside. Cultural events, competitions ,seminars, conference and AICTE internship will be aligned to the SDGs through the next decade to create awareness and build a sense of responsibility towards the society in the minds of budding engineers. Engineers could play a pivotal role in realizing the goals.

We name is program as “Sairam SDG Action Program” #SairamSAP officially. Sairam has been continuously working towards being a socially responsible and sustainable institution, however we know there is much more to do. We look forward to working with our staff and students over the next decade on this shared ambition. For the goals to be reached everyone needs to do their part; not just governments but private sector, civil society and every individual also needs to contribute. Let’s be the CHANGE that we want to see in the world. Together lets help build a better world!

Principal Message

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a global agenda, adopted by about 195 countries worldwide in the year 2015, with a vision to eliminate poverty, save the mother Earth and ensure that all people cherish peace and prosperity. … The goals and targets are tailor made universally, and are practiced by all nations around the world, which include the third world countries where poverty dominates. This goal of SDG will be implemented by clustering together their respective governments, businesses establishments, media, institutions of higher education, and local NGOs to uplift the lives of the people in their native country which will be a reality in the year 2030.

Four years since lot of effort was made towards the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals globally that resulted in the progress of some areas like, reduction in poverty, widespread immunization of health, decrease in child mortality rates and substantial access to electricity. With the world population expected to reach a mile stone of nine billion by 2050, societies are facing a range of issues, such as climate change, poverty and ongoing urbanization.
