REPORT ON THE 26th INDUCTION DAY PROGRAMME-24/11/2022

Sri Sairam College of Engineering has been the nucleus of excellence and growth for students. The College held its 26th Induction Day on the 24th of November, 2022. The induction day is celebrated to greet the first-year students who will be embarking on a new journey of education, growth and innovation. The auspicious occasion was initiated with Karnataka State Anthem. To enhance the glory of the event we had amongst us the General Manager, HR, Global Strategic Hiring, Wipro – Sri. Praveen Kamath K, as the Chief Guest of the Day. The day was further enlightened with the presence of the CEO & Chairman Dr. Sai Prakash LeoMuthu and Chief Information Officer Sri. Naresh Raj. To illuminate the day, the dignitaries lighted the lamp and adorned the dais.

The Programme was hosted by second year students of the departments of AIML & Mechanical Engineering

Honourable Principal Sir, Dr. B Shadaksharappa presented the Welcome Address before all. He warmly greeted all the dignitaries, invitees, parents, faculty and studentsand expressed his sincere gratitude to all the parents and students for believing in Sairam Group of institutions and selecting Sri Sairam College of Engineering as their destination for pursuing quality technological education. He expressed his joy stating that the college is celebrating its 26th year ofexcellence. Sir unfurled insightful information about the college and its respective departments, he further spoke about the motto, vision & mission of the college. His all-encompassing speech gave the newly joined students an anchor to successfully sail along their new journey of academic education.

Furthermore, the Chairman of Sairam Group of Institutions, Dr. Sai Prakash Leo Muthu, proposed the presidential address before the audience. Having erudite visionary, he spoke about his rich experience in the field of academies and management. His words motivated the students towards achieving their goals with innovation and enthusiasm. Being an active social worker, he spoke about the developments initiated by him which also gave the students an insight into humanitarian grounds of life.Having erudite visionary, he spoke about the Sustainable Development Goals being knitted to our daily lives.

Following this, training and placement officer, Prof. V. A. Guruprasath came forward to announce the student achievers who have gained excellence in coding assessment activity that had been conducted during the bridge course programme.

 

Prof. Malini K V, Head, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering briefed the profile of the chief guest, Sri. Praveen Kamath K. Following which, the chief guest enlightened the audience with his galore of knowledge and experience. He spoke about thinking in multiple angles and being the best in every work to be delivered. He further spoke on placement preparation activities and advised students to be thorough with the basic knowledge of all key subjects and to develop the ability to present these before groups; and how these can make a big difference in the workplace. Students gained valuable inputs and learned a lot about working with efficiency.He spoke about the role played by education in the path of excellence and his speech energised the students with much positivity for their upcoming academic journey.

Furthermore, Prof. T N Prabhakar came forward to announce the names of the student achievers who have shown excellence in academia through their consistent good performances.

Chief Information Officer, Sri. Naresh Raj gave special address before all the dignitaries, faculties, students and their parents. He spoke about the importance of upskilling and updating knowledge on a regular basis. He further focused on the enhanced value of online platforms for blended teaching and learning.He also spoke about the effectivity of the placement cell in identifying the current industry talent requirements and accordingly enhancing the skills of the students. He also encouraged the students to develop deep into innovation and develop new projects and models alongside their course of study.

Vote of thanks was proposed by the dynamic Management Representative of Sri Sairam College of Engineering, Dr. R Arun Kumar. He motivated the students towards building a better future.Sir expressed his immense gratitude to the chief guest for contributing his valuable time, in spite of his busy schedule. He heartily thanked all the dignitaries for their presence and insightful words that encouraged the newly joined students. He further thanked the faculties and students who have contributed towards making this programme grand success.

The curtains were drawn for the day with the National Anthem.
