Achievements of the Project:

  • Team won the Imperial Society of innovative Engineers (ISIE) futuristic award with Rs. 40,000 cash prize, first position in best design and 4th position in overall ranking in the national event out of 55 teams in Indian Karting Championship.
  • Overall 3rd position in MVJ championship
  • TEAM MECHROCKZ Won best driver award, skid pad winner and autocross rounds with Rs. 30,000 cash prize in Vishnu Karting Championship 2017.
  • 2nd Position in VKC 2016 Virtual Design.
  • Won Best Engineering Design Award with Rs. 10,000 cash prize in Leo Motorsports Split Karting Championship.
  • TEAM MECHROCKZ secured the third position in the Sieger Karting Championship 2017.
  • Participated in National Level Sieger Karting Championship 2017 and won technical Inspection award with Rs.5000 cash Prize.
  • Participated in National Level IKC 2017-2018 from 12th January to 15th January 2018 in Maharashtra
  • No 1 team in Karnataka in VKC and ISIE IKR events.

Brief description of the project:

  • Team aims to provide students an opportunity to experience the challenges of go kart racing and develop skills in associated technologies, which allowed engineering students irrespective of discipline to form a team to learn and to share knowledge of designing and fabricating the go kart vehicle.
  • Maximum speed of the vehicle is 60 KMPH and we can travel 50 kilometer for one litre.

Social relevance of the project:

  • The first and the most important advantage is the fact that you learn to control the car.
  • Yes, by opting for go karting, you slowly but surely master the art of driving.
  • It is an extremely fun activity for people of all ages.
  • From children to grownups all enjoy this fun-filled activity.
  • It is fun to see people of all age groups coming together, for this special sport, which binds everyone together.
