The Department of BSC Honours has been introduced by Visvesvaraya Technological University with the panoramic view of integrating STEAM subjects together for students to have a firm grip over vast educational disciplines. In a concentrated course, the students are expected to have an exclusive focus upon the field that they have chosen for their bachelors but here the students will be given the much awaited scope to unfurl themselves through a unique combination of subjects like Thermal Physics; Mathematics using Python; Computer Programming; Differential Calculus and Linear Algebra; Mechanics with Properties of Matter; Chemistry with further subdivisions like Physical Chemistry, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry, Green Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry; English and Kannada. Furthermore to give the curriculum a virtuous mould, interdisciplinary subjects like Human Values and Environmental Studies have also been added. The subjects have been meticulously planned to educate and upskill students through Disciplinary Course, Skill and Ability Enhancement Course, Humanities and Social Sciences Course. Students will also get exclusive opportunities to gear up for their professional career through mandatory internships which will be conducted during the summer recess of II and III semesters, these internships will involve inter and intra institutional activities. This is a four year course and Sri Sairam College of Engineering having a team of expert and experienced faculty welcomes and encourages students nation-wide to enroll and experience the seascape view of the curriculum.
